Our Adventure Bike group classes teach you how to control your motorcycle confidently when the pavement ends.
Many Adventure Bike riders come from a street riding background and are not yet comfortable when the motorcycle begins moving underneath them on dirt, gravel, sand or rocky terrain. This class introduces the fundamental techniques needed to remain balanced, find traction and control a larger motorcycle off-road.
The class begins with body position, foot placement and learning how to control the motorcycle while standing. From there, riders progress through practical drills covering clutch and throttle control, braking on loose terrain, slow-speed balance, turning, hill starts, climbs, descents and line selection.
Edgar will explain each technique, demonstrate it and provide individual feedback as you practice. The class is designed to create a supportive environment where riders can improve without feeling pressured to ride beyond their ability.
By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how to use your body, controls and the motorcycle’s weight to ride more safely and efficiently. These are the skills that will help you feel prepared for dirt roads, BDR routes, motorcycle tours and everyday adventure riding.
Adventure Bike riders with limited off-road experience
Street riders transitioning to dirt and gravel
Riders preparing for a BDR or group tour
Riders who want to improve control of a large motorcycle
Motorcycle clubs and groups looking for professional instruction
Experienced Adventure riders who want to refresh their fundamentals
You must provide your own street-legal Adventure or Dual Sport motorcycle and complete riding gear. Rental motorcycles and safety equipment are not included.
