Edgar cota
Professional Enduro & ADV Instructor
Meet Edgar Cota
Edgar is a professional off-road racer and one of Baja’s most accomplished Ironman competitors. Racing the entire course alone, he won the Pro Moto Ironman class at the Baja 250, Baja 400 and Baja 1000. These races demand speed, endurance, technical ability, preparation, and the confidence to make the right decisions after hours on the motorcycle.
But being a great racer does not automatically make someone a great coach. Edgar has spent more than 10 years professionally coaching riders and learning how to break advanced off-road techniques into clear, practical instruction. He knows how to identify what is holding a rider back, correct bad habits, and build the skills needed to ride with greater control and confidence.
In 2026, Edgar founded COTA, the Cota Off Road Training Academy, to bring that experience directly to more ADV and Enduro riders.
Whether you are preparing for a Baja trip, building confidence on a large adventure bike, improving your enduro technique, or simply trying to become a safer off-road rider, Edgar teaches skills that work in real terrain. His coaching is based on decades of riding, racing, and helping riders improve, not theory learned from behind a desk.
At COTA, the goal is simple. Help you become a better, safer, and more confident off-road rider.
